Ben Affleck has recently opened up about his tenure as Batman in the DC Extended Universe, describing the experience as "excruciating" and expressing his decision to step away from superhero roles. He portrayed the iconic character in films such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017). Affleck cited several reasons for his departure, including creative differences, personal challenges, and the impact on his family. He noted that his own son was scared by his portrayal, which contributed to his decision to move on from the role.
Affleck also mentioned that the production of Justice League was particularly challenging, leading to a loss of interest in the superhero genre. He has since focused on other projects and has no plans to return to the role of Batman.
